You’ll notice there’s a new platform entry among the usual platforms we feature on Analyser – the Embark platform.

Last month Embark rolled out a new-look platform, which also saw the release of a wide range of developments and updates.

These include the introduction of family linking, more flexibility in the way adviser charges are collected, better back-office integration and improvements and enhancements to platform performance.

At the moment, the new Embark platform is running alongside the existing Advance by Embark platform. This is why in Analyser you’ll now see two Embark platform listings – the new-look Embark platform, and Advance by Embark.

What does this mean for me?

When you log in as an Analyser user, you’ll see both of these platforms owned by Embark.

If your firm either uses Advance by Embark or has clients on its predecessors, it’s worth re-running your due diligence in Analyser given the extent of the updates on the new Embark platform. These include variations in pricing between the two Embark platforms.

Even if you don’t have clients on Advance by Embark, it’s worth understanding whether the latest developments change anything for you and your clients in terms of platform selection.

We’ve also added a notification in Analyser that a new platform has been added, which you’ll see as and when you redo your due diligence report.

We think it’s good practice to take these kinds of changes into account when refreshing your due diligence, if only for reassurance that your chosen platforms are the still the right ones for your clients.

Analyser helps keep you up to date with these developments, and hopefully serves as a useful prompt for what to consider when reviewing your platforms.
