It’s not a podcast. It’s a podcat.
Ah, you’ve seen right through us. It actually is a podcast.
But it’s not just any podcast – it’s the first ever podcast from the lang cat.
It’s called Financial Services Unplugged with Tom McPhail and the reason for that (pay attention at the back) is that it’s hosted by everyone’s favourite pensionsmonkey Tom McPhail, it’s about financial services and there will be absolutely no plugging of any products or services.
Tom is a legend in the pensions world, and the podcast will cover pensions for sure – but it won’t stop there.
Each episode gets into some depth, but is never dry – this is a lang cat podcast, after all.
We plan to release episodes weekly and you’ll find them on Spotify and Podbean for now with more popular podcast places to follow.
In our launch episode, Pensions, platforms and the Treasury's 'reverse ferret', we chat to AJ Bell head of retirement policy Tom Selby about pension tax reform, the Treasury’s reverse ferret on the normal minimum pension age, and touch on what came out of COP26 for financial services firms.
We hope you enjoy listening to Financial Services Unplugged with Tom McPhail – as ever, let us know what you think.
